BIRTH BODIES
I am captivated by the moments before birth, and memorializing them through sculptural works of art. Ultimately heirlooms, these mark the space between anticipation and arrival and can be very soothing for the mama.
All birth bodies are commissioned. If you are interested for yourself, or as a gift for a friend, I welcome your inquiry and can also produce a gift certificate if you wish.
COMMISSIONING A BIRTH BODY
Giving yourself or someone else a birth body is a beautiful gesture, and it's an honor for me to collaborate with the mamas-to-be to make them happen. Each Birth Body is cast live, and then I take it back to my studio to paint them with the themes, wishes, and intentions for this person who will join us soon.
I offer these commissions easily in Northern California, Southern Oregon, and Western Nevada, and with some logistics outside those areas. To get our conversation going, please fill out the questionnaire below and I will get back to you within 2 business days.
